Math

Our next unit is Addition and Subtraction Strategies. Some of the strategies we will be looking at include: Making 10, Using an addition table, Doubles, Double 10-Frames, and Fact Families.

Science

In Science, our new unit is on small crawling and flying animals (bugs). We will be looking at the life cycles of some of the insects. We will also be looking at the parts of an insect (head, thorax and abdomen). We will also be comparing and contrasting moths and butterflies and studying different kinds of spiders.

Social

In Social we are continuing to study the communities of Iqaluit, Meteghan, and Saskatoon. We are looking at the different cultures of the three communities at present time.
